The Professional and Higher Partnership (?P&H?) is delighted to announce that it has partnered with Jellybooks of London? to showcase P&H publications.
Jellybooks? mission is to help avid readers discover what to read next and to make it really easy for readers to digitally recommend and share great reads with friends and colleagues. Jellybooks believes that online recommendations become more powerful, when an ebook sample of the first 10% can be included with every recommendation. Jellybooks is a cloud-based service where every ebook sample is hosted in the cloud and can be shared a link. The Jellybooks platform is device agnostic: samples can be downloaded to iPhone, iPad, Kindle and many other devices and apps. Existing partners include Profile Books, Faber & Faber, and Harlequin.
P&H publishes books on creative writing and also on education. The agreement covers both P&H?s imprints ? Creative Writing Studies and The Professional and Higher Partnership ? and includes both front- and backlist titles.
Speaking on behalf of P&H, Creative Director Anthony Haynes commented: ?Unlike many of the largest publishing houses, we regard cloud computing as an opportunity for publishing. We see Jellybooks.com as an attractive, intuitive site that is fully aligned with the ethos of Web 2.0. We?re sure it has a valuable role in helping readers to discover content to suit their preferences?.
On behalf of Jellybooks, Managing Director Andrew Rhomberg added: ?We provide publishers, large and small, with free cloud hosting for ebook samples, as well as social media tools that make it easy for authors, reviewers, publicists and others to include ebook samples in tweets, shares, pins and other forms of social sharing to deepen the engagement between content creators and readers?.
