Allen settling into new city, new role with Heat

(AP) ? Late Friday night, less than 12 hours before the first practice of Miami Heat training camp, reigning NBA MVP LeBron James updated his Facebook page with a new photo.

The image: A grinning Ray Allen in the foreground, James looking over his shoulder at him, the duo wearing Heat uniforms together for the first time.

"Need I Say More," James wrote.

No need.

When Allen decided to leave Boston and sign with Miami this summer, the Heat were downright giddy over the notion that the NBA's best team last season would now feature the best 3-point shooter in league history.

Since July, Allen and the Heat have been talking about ways to best integrate him into the lineup ? a process that shifts more to the practice floor now that camp is open.

"He strikes fear," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "We know about that fear, because every time he found his way open behind the 3-point line, as a collective staff, we would say, 'Oh ... ' thinking the worst."

With good reason.

No one has made more 3-pointers against the Heat than Allen, and it's not even close in that department.

Over his five seasons in Boston, Allen connected 96 times against Miami from 3-point range ? 34 more than anyone else during that span. His 165 career makes from beyond the arc against Miami are 51 ahead of second-place Reggie Miller.

And in each of the past three seasons, including playoffs, no opponent made more 3's against the Heat than Allen (24 versus Miami in 2009-10, then 31 in 2010-11 and 22 in 2011-12).

"We're excited to have that dynamic with us this year," Spoelstra said. "We've had 3-point spacing. We've had tremendous 3-point shooters that can shoot on the move. We haven't really had a catch-and-shoot player with the ability and skill set like Ray. That adds a different dimension to our offense and it should be interesting."

Allen has been in Miami for the past several weeks, still getting settled into his new home, figuring out what his favorite lunch spots will be and quickly learning that there's more to the city than just South Beach.

The adjustment process isn't totally complete, but Allen feels like he's gotten a head start on settling into the Heat locker room.

"It was the best situation for me moving forward," Allen said of his decision to sign with the Heat. "There were other teams out there that had interest, but none from an overall perspective ? from a place to put my family to opportunity to win ? that I thought I matched potentially being here, which ultimately is why I ended up being here."

Allen was slowed last season by ankle problems, severe enough that he needed offseason surgery. The Heat weren't deterred by that when trying to sign him, and Allen ? whose last game as a Celtic was in Miami, the Game 7 loss in last season's Eastern Conference finals ? said his recovery is going well.

He's been shooting the ball at the Heat workout facility for several weeks, and Miami point guard Mario Chalmers is among those raving about what they've been seeing.

Suffice to say, those after-practice shooting contests the Heat enjoy partaking in might be a whole lot tougher to win this season.

"I feel pretty good," Allen said. "I have no complaints. I think at my age, being able to continue at the level, going through offseason having had surgery, it's a new landscape for me. Having to move down here, be in a new situation, learn a new staff, all that's been a great challenge. I've been looking forward to it. I'm enjoying it."

With age comes wisdom, Allen said, when it comes to managing injuries and his health. His first training camp in Boston five years ago also followed surgery, he said, and he was in pain throughout those workouts but largely kept the severity to himself. Now 37 years old, Allen knows that's probably not the best plan.

"Being older, you get more careful," Allen said.

With Dwyane Wade at the starting shooting guard spot in Miami, it seems more than likely that Allen would come off the bench with the Heat.

The Celtics said he didn't like that role last season, when he missed time with bone spurs with his ankle and lost his starting spot to Avery Bradley.

Allen, who accepted $3 million from the Heat this season and turned down more money to stay in Boston, insists he'll be fine coming off the bench in Miami if that's what the Heat ask.

"I wish he could have gone to the Clippers," his former Boston teammate Paul Pierce lamented Friday. "Instead, he went to our Eastern Conference rivals."

With Allen (2,718), another new free-agent addition in Rashard Lewis (1,690) and returnee Mike Miller (1,351), the Heat have three of the NBA's top 13 active players in 3-pointers made.

And maybe it's fitting that this season could be a three-for-all in Miami, given that the Heat made 14 3-pointers ? Miller went 7 for 8 to lead the charge ? in the title-clinching Game 5 romp over Oklahoma City to close the NBA Finals.

"He's here to help the Miami Heat win another championship," Chalmers said of Allen. "That's what he's here for."

TSA pays mom $3.99 for seized peanut butter

By Bob Sullivan

When Stephanie Lambert packed peanut butter and jelly to keep her two small children happy on a cross-country flight in June, she didn't mean to pick a fight with the Transportation Security Administration. But after a long security line argument, and the confiscation of the peanut butter (but not the jelly), she felt she had no choice.??

Courtesy Stephanie Lambert

Stephanie Lambert got $3.99 from the U.S. Treasury after TSA agents seized her child's peanut butter at an airport checkpoint.

Then, after churning through the four-page ?SF-95 Tort Claim Package forms,? she got something else she never expected: a $3.99 refund from the U.S. Treasury Department.

Lambert was traveling with her husband, a 6-month-old and a 2-year-old on an ungodly early flight in June, and arrived at the airport about 5 a.m. She was flying from Los Angeles to Pittsburgh, and she needed the usual bag of distractions and food to keep her kids -- and other passengers -- sane during the trip. But, she says, her efforts to ensure a smooth flight were foiled when a TSA agent with a bad attitude singled out her family for additional screening. After the usual pat-downs and questions, discussion centered on the jar of peanut butter.?

"He just really fixated on the peanut butter and a jar of apple sauce I had," she said.? "I keep saying, 'It's not a liquid; it's pureed apples,' but we go went around and around.? He also screened my husband multiple times. I asked to speak to the terminal manager, but he never arrived. ... We were there 30 minutes."

Eventually, the screener let the apple sauce (and the jelly) go, but he drew the line on the peanut butter.

"I said, ?Fine.? I left the peanut butter, but I took down names," she said. "The screener was asking for my all my details, so I figured I'd ask for his."

When the family arrived in Pittsburgh, Lambert asked a TSA screener on her way out about peanut butter -- Was it considered a liquid or not? -- and got a vague answer. So when she got home, she turned to the Internet and the found the SF-95 Tort Claim Package forms. Generally, they're filled out by fliers who think the TSA lost something valuable while screening bags, such as laptop computers. But Lambert was after satisfaction, and she didn't see why she couldn't make a claim for the cost of her seized peanut butter.

"At the airport, my husband kept saying, 'Would you just let go of the peanut butter? We're going to miss the plane.' But these things really fire me up," Lambert said. "So when I said, 'Honey, I'm going to file a claim,' he wasn't surprised."

Lambert is a rare consumer who was in a perfect position to file such a claim. For starters, she had the original receipt from Whole Foods showing the price she paid for the spread.?

Who keeps receipts for peanut butter?? Lambert explained that she started her family during the recession, and from the start has carefully watched her money. She saves receipts from every purchase, enters everything into a spreadsheet and tracks every expense. She also has a binder, where she records refunds, returns, rebates and any other correspondence that involves money.

"I fill out forms and keep track of them all the time, so this was easy for me," she said. "I'm responsible for the family finances. If it takes me months, it takes me months. I'm very firm when companies owe me money."

She had another motivation behind her ferocity regarding the confiscated peanut butter, however.

"When they first put in the liquid (security) rules on flights, a screening agent took a $7 lip gloss I had just purchased. Then, the very next day, they changed the rules and lip gloss was allowed. I was furious," she said. "I remember the TSA agent actually took a basketball shot with my lip gloss into the trash bins as I went through security. I'm still mad about that, and I was thinking, 'This is not happening again.'"

On her complaint form, Lambert said TSA agents unnecessarily screened her husband twice, and removed everything from her carry-on bags during the 30-minute ordeal.

"At the time I was carrying my 6-month-old and trying to keep my 2-year-old calm," she wrote. "(The agent's) behavior was completely unwarranted."

She submitted the claim on June 19.? To her surprise, she received a letter dated Aug. 24 from TSA that read: "Your claim against the United States in the amount of $3.99 has been granted in full." On Sept. 14, the "refund" was electronically deposited into her bank account.

Naturally, Lambert wasn't really after the money. She says she was trying to make a point.

"I think people really do need to fight for themselves," she said. "In this case, the peanut butter was important to me. I was thinking, 'Hey, I need that. If I have a crisis with a child on a five-hour flight this peanut butter may help me.? I wasn?t hopping to Phoenix, I was flying across country and there?s no food on the flight for children."

As it turns out, the TSA website does list peanut butter as a banned liquid/gel, if carried onto a plane in containers exceeding 3.4 ounces. Jellies, jams and "creamy dips and spreads" are also banned in bigger portions. There are some exceptions for mothers traveling with infants, however, involving breast milk, juice, baby food and other liquids and gels, which muddies the discussion considerably.

Part of the problem, Lambert says, is that the rules seem to vary from airport to airport, and even from agent to agent.

"I think it depends on how well the information goes down the chain," she said.?

Lambert said she spoke via telephone with a TSA representative as she was filling out her tort claim and thought the agent was very pleasant and competent. The agent even promised to review security tape to see if the incident required follow up. That conversation, and her refund, actually leaves her with more good than bad feelings about the TSA. The problem, she said, is that most of the trouble for passengers occurs on the front lines, in the chaos of someone rushing to make a flight with agents who sometimes are too eager to exert their power.

TSA spokesman David A. Castelveter told NBC News that peanut butter jars in excess of 3.4 ounces are generally not permissable as carry-on items, but that screeners can exercise "common-sense discretion." Exceptions generally involve medical needs, he said.?

He also pointed to a press release about TSA agents in Los Angeles who stopped suspects allegedly trying to sneak marijuana onto an airplane?in a modified jar of peanut butter last year.

The agency has no readily available statistics on tort claims, Castelveter said, but added that Lambert's peanut butter refund claim was "the first time I'd ever heard of something like that."

The Los Angeles Times investigated tort claims against TSA last year, and found that 1,702 claims were made against the agency by passengers traveling through Los Angeles International Airport from 2007 through 2010.? Most claims involved items that were damaged or disappeared from checked baggage. The average damage claim was $1,437, but most were denied.? Roughly 13 percent of those who claimed the loss of a laptop computer were granted relief, but less than 1 percent of those saying they lost or damaged digital camera were reimbursed.

RED TAPE WRESTLING TIPS

One key to having successful dialogs with TSA agents at checkpoints is time; passengers rushing to make a flight have no time to make their case. In Lambert's situation, she had time to put up a fight because, ironically, her husband is a frequent traveler and the family qualified for express screening.??

If you feel like the TSA has wrongly confiscated an item from you at a checkpoint, you can obtain the necessary forms at this page.

Note that if the TSA denies a claim, it can only be appealed by filing a lawsuit in federal court. By law, small claims courts have no jurisdiction over TSA cases.

Mauritius' Lux Resorts pretax hurt by financing costs

PORT LOUIS (Reuters) - Mauritius hotels group Lux Island Resorts posted a drop in pretax profit for the year ended June to 14.26 million rupees from 45.95 million a year before, reflecting higher finance costs, it said on Friday.

The luxury hotel group, which has properties in the Maldives and Reunion islands as well as on the Indian Ocean island itself, said occupancy rates rose by 1 percentage point to 72 percent.

Revenue increased to 3.71 billion rupees from 3.10 billion and earnings per share climbed to 0.24 rupees from 0.07, the company said in a statement.

"With regard to the current low season, we are experiencing negative growth, however management has contained costs and maximised efficiencies and we expect earnings ... to approximate that of last year," Lux said in a statement.

The results were issued after the market closed. Shares of the firm had closed the session unchanged at 15 rupees.

Clegg pitches taxes on rich to rally Liberal Democrats

BRIGHTON, England (Reuters) - Britain may have to increase taxes on the rich to reduce its record budget deficit, Lib Dems leader Nick Clegg said on Wednesday, hoping to rally his centrist party behind him after a public apology that many found embarrassing.

The deputy prime minister has seen voters desert the Lib Dems since he agreed to form a coalition government with the Conservatives in May 2010. Polls indicate he faces disaster in the 2015 election unless supporters return.

Now ranked Britain's least popular political leader, Clegg has been mocked since releasing a video ahead of his party's annual conference apologising for breaking a campaign pledge not to raise university student fees, only to triple them once in power.

Swiftly re-edited by internet satirists who made Clegg sing "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" over and over again, the video has received more than 1.5 million clicks on YouTube, adding to his humiliation.

In his main speech of the conference, Clegg defended his decision to back the unpopular austerity cuts proposed by Prime Minister David Cameron's centre-right Conservatives, and pitched his party as a restraining force in the coalition.

"If we have to ask people to take less out or pay more in, we'll start with the richest and work our way down," he told party members in the southern resort of Brighton.

TAXATION TEST

He ruled out further cuts to the top level of income tax following a 5 pence reduction to 45 pence in the pound announced in an unpopular budget in March.

"All future cuts in personal taxation must pass one clear test: Do they help people on low and middle incomes get by and get on? It's as simple as that," he said.

But the conference - traditionally an arena to reassure supporters and gain domestic media coverage of key messages for voters - was overshadowed by his apology over tuition fees.

Coffee mugs decorated with Clegg's face and the words "I'm sorry" sold out swiftly from an exhibitor's stall in the seafront convention centre.

Clegg was once hailed as the herald of a new era of honesty in politics, but his failure to deliver a cornerstone policy promise in the Lib Dems' first experience of government has badly damaged their re-election prospects.

"Nick Clegg is one of the worst leaders the party has ever had, and is just politically inept, and is appallingly badly advised," party activist Roger Hayes, 59, said on the conference sidelines.

At a question-and-answer session, Clegg made a personal appeal for forgiveness to one member who challenged him on the party's fall from grace.

"No one has struggled with this more than I have," Clegg said. "No one has tried to be as upfront as publicly as I have in this last week about the fact that we were wrong. We made a mistake, for which I have apologised."

Clegg, 45, briefly ranked as the most British popular politician since wartime leader Winston Churchill after outshining his Conservative and Labour rivals in a pre-election television debate.

But the broken promise on tuition fees, which led to riots around parliament, and public anger over austerity measures have devastated his public reputation as a politician to trust.

IT'S THE ECONOMY

The fate of Clegg, his party and its Conservative partners may ultimately depend on an economy expected by most economists to contract this year despite government forecasts of growth.

But an ICM poll for the Guardian newspaper suggested the Lib Dems' popularity would rise by five points if Vince Cable, the left-leaning business secretary, took over as leader.

Current surveys suggest the party would lose up to half its 57 members of parliament if an election were held now, and that it will also lose more ground in local authorities, its grassroots power base, where it has already lost a third of its seats in two years.

While members at the conference grumbled, there was little enthusiasm for ditching Clegg before the 2015 election.

"The vilification has been quite ridiculous," said Jean Evans, 67, a former councillor from Chester, northwest England.

"The more people have been calling Nick ridiculous names, the more I have come to respect him, because he hasn't given up, he hasn't crumbled, and he has just got on day after day with his job. And I think that is tremendous."

Hoffenheim, Hannover win at German Bundesliga

Berlin, Sep 27

Stuttgart remained winless following a 0-3 loss to Hoffenheim and Hannover wrapped their third win thanks to a powerful 4-1 performance against Nuremberg in German Bundesliga football here.

Leverkusen sealed a 3-1 victory at Augsburg within the first half and 10-man Monchengladbach came back twice to share points with Hamburg, Wednesday.

Hoffenheim wrapped their second consecutive win following a faultless performance against harmless Stuttgart at the southern derby.

Stuttgart piled on the pressure from kicking off, but it was Hoffenheim that opened the scoring against the run of the match. Hoffenheims Takashi Usami had all time and space to finish his solo run and goal from penalty area.

Subsequently Stuttgart acted unable to find the goal within the break. Two minutes into second half, Hoffenheim doubled the lead through Joselu who made use of Roberto Firminos assist following a turnover at midfield.

Things went from bad to worse for Stuttgart as Hoffenheims Fabian Johnson tripled the lead when he poked home a rebound from close range at the 58th minute.

A clinical chance conversion by Hannover was enough to inflict Nuremberg the second loss of the season. Both sides started with a wait-and-see attitude into the match, but with 21 minutes into the match, Hannover's Lars Stindl slotted home the opener from inside the box following a diagonal pass by Szabolcs Huszti.

Hannover remained effective and doubled the lead with the second shot on target as Szabolcs Huszti capitalized on a black out by Nuremberg defender Per Nilsson seven minutes later.

At the second half Nuremberg started where they left off as Per Nilsson invited Hannover's substitute Didier Ya Konan with a misplaced pass to triple the lead at the 52nd minute.

Ya Konan was not done with the scoring as he sealed his brace at the 64th minute against clumsy Nuremberg, that were able to score the consolation through Timothy Chandler at the 73rd minute.

10-man Monchengladbach punished wasteful Hamburg to keep a draw at home. Monchengladbach and Hamburg staged a nervous start with many misplaced passes at Borussia Park. Hamburg took the lead out of the blue at the 23rd minute when Rafael van der Vaart hammered home from the left wing into top right.

The Foals looked for a quick answer and they were rewarded at the 39th minute when Martin Stranzl headed home the equalizer out of the blue to make it 1-1.

Monchengladbach was on a tear but the header by Artjoms Rudnev established the 2-1 lead for Hamburg seconds before break.

10 minutes into second half Monchengladbach's Martin Stranzl committed a professional foul to cause a straight red card and a penalty. Van der Vaart stepped up to convert the penalty but he just rattled the left post.

The Foals never gave up and flabbergasted the visitors with the late equaliser by Alvaro Dominguez to eke out the third draw of the season.

Elsewhere, Bremen came from behind to win 2-1 over Freiburg whereas Leverkusen secured a 3-1 victory over Augsburg.

Report: Premium hikes for top Medicare drug plans

WASHINGTON (AP) ? Millions of seniors enrolled in some of the most popular Medicare prescription drug plans face double-digit premium hikes next year if they don't shop for a better deal, says a private firm that analyzes the highly competitive market.

Seven of the top 10 prescription plans are raising their premiums by 11 percent to 23 percent, according to a report this week by Avalere Health.

It's a reality check on a stream of upbeat Medicare announcements from the Obama administration, all against the backdrop of a hard-fought election. In August, officials had announced that the average premium for basic prescription drug coverage will stay the same in 2013, at $30 a month.

The administration's number is accurate as an overall indicator for the entire market, but not very helpful to consumers individually since it doesn't reflect price swings in the real world.

"The average senior is going to benefit by carefully scrutinizing their situation, because every year the market changes," Avalere President Dan Mendelson said. Avalere crunched the numbers based on bid documents that the plans submitted to Medicare.

The report found premium increases for all top 10 prescription drug plans, known as PDPs. However, the most popular plan ? AARP MedicareRx Preferred ? is only going up 57 cents per month nationally, to $40.42 from the current $39.85.

President Barack Obama's health care law does not appear to be the cause of the increases. Indeed, the law is improving the prescription benefit by gradually closing a coverage gap called the "doughnut hole," which catches people with high drug costs. Instead, the price hikes appear to be driven by market dynamics, and some insurers are introducing new low-premium options to gain a competitive advantage on plans that are raising their prices.

The seven plans with double-digit premium increases were: the Humana Walmart-Preferred Rx Plan (23 percent); First Health Part D Premier (18 percent); First Health Part D Value Plus (17 percent); Cigna Medicare Rx Plan One (15 percent); Express Scripts Medicare-Value (13 percent); the HealthSpring Prescription Drug Plan (12 percent); and Humana Enhanced (11 percent).

Another two plans in the top 10 also had single-digit increases. They were the SilverScript Basic (8 percent) and WellCare Classic (3 percent).

On the plus side for consumers, a major new low-cost plan entered the market. Premiums for the AARP MedicareRx Saver Plus Plan will average $15 a month nationally, although it won't be available everywhere. That's $3.50 less than the current low-cost leader, the Humana Walmart plan, whose premiums are rising to $18.50.

The new AARP plan is run by UnitedHealth Group Inc., the nation's largest health insurance company. United pays AARP for the right to use its name on a range of Medicare insurance products, a successful business strategy that has proven lucrative for both partners. When Humana and Walmart teamed up to offer their low-cost plan in 2011, United felt the competition.

"There is a real focus on the premium in this market," Mendelson said. "If a plan fields an offering with a low premium, it knows it can capture a significant number of customers."

Medicare spokesman Brian Cook did not dispute the Avalere estimates. "We continue to encourage seniors to shop around and find the plan that works best for them," he said.

Medicare's open enrollment season starts Oct. 15, and beneficiaries have a wide variety of choices of taxpayer-subsidized private prescription plans. Seniors and family members can use the online Medicare Plan Finder to input individual prescription lists and find plans in their area that cover them.

About 90 percent of Medicare's nearly 50 million beneficiaries have some form of drug coverage, with more than 17 million enrolled in private plans through the prescription drug program. Of those, 14 million are in the top 10 plans.

The Avalare numbers, released Monday, do have one silver lining for the Obama administration. When the projections are tweaked to account for seniors switching to lower-cost coverage, premiums for 2013 are likely to remain steady.

Separately, the administration recently announced that average premiums for Medicare Advantage insurance plans will barely inch up next year on average, while enrollment in the private medical plans will continue to rise. Many Medicare Advantage plans also combine prescription drug coverage in one package deal.

But the biggest premium announcement is yet to come.

Virtually all seniors pay the Part B premium for outpatient care, including those with traditional Medicare as well as those in private plans. Currently $99.90 a month, the Part B premium is expected to rise by about $7 for 2013, according to the government's own projections.

TechAxcess ? Video Games and the Data Center

Let?s try something completely different.

I?ve said on multiple occasions that data centers are fairly vital to the operation of our society, but in recent days, they?ve positioned themselves into a role that?s downright essential. Behind virtually every piece of technology there?s a data center. Today, I?d like to take a moment to look at the impact of data centers on the world of video games, and what an enterprise operator can learn from the gaming world.

Believe it or not, there are a few lessons to be had, here.

The most obvious indicator of their impact is the advent of online gaming ? and I?m not simply talking about games like World of Warcraft, either. Every single game that features online play requires a plethora of servers to support it, particularly if it?s been released by a larger developer. Simply running everything off a single server isn?t the least bit viable- a single system would be completely unable to handle all the requests made by the client-side applications.

That?s to say nothing of Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games like World of Warcraft. The sheer amount of information, the sheer scope of data required for the game requires a fairly massive backend. As of 2009, their online network services ran in ten data centers around the world and utilized 20,000 systems and 1.3 petabytes of storage in order to power their gaming. WoW on its own required 75,000 CPU cores. The entire infrastructure was monitored from a global network operating center which tracked weather stations across the world in order to identify potential uptime threats. This network has doubtless grown since being profiled by Data Center Knowledge.

What makes all this even more impressive is that the entire network was run and managed by a staff of 68 people.

It?s a lesson in efficient data center operation that many organizations could learn from. After all, these facilities aren?t being used for enterprise storage, or for vendor applications- they exist so that people can play World of Warcraft, which has established itself as one of the most lucrative properties in the history of online gaming and has left a trail of beaten, bloodied would-be competitors in its wake. It is, in many ways, the Facebook of the games industry.

Of course, Blizzard has made a few cock-ups in its time, so they?re far from a poster child of data center management. Everyone who played Diablo III (and anyone who tried to play a game from Blizzard during the Diablo III launch) remembers Error 37, an irritating glitch which stemmed from a poorly managed, unanticipated server load and made many of Blizzard?s games unplayable. When your network exists for the sole purpose of delivering a paid product or service to a client group, downtime is?less than amenable.

Moving on, in the same way that World of Warcraft could serve as an example of decent server management, Valve?s Steam distribution platform (which customers can use to purchase games over the cloud) is a very good example of how an app store should work, along with the best way to structure an application delivery system.? It?s simple, easy to use, and well-managed, to boot. And again, it wouldn?t exist without a data center as a backend.

At the end of the day, the games industry has a lot more in common with more traditional enterprise technology fields than one might think. We?ve got high performance computing, data centers and server clusters to manage online gaming, programs which essentially serve as IaaS solutions, and proof positive that cloud computing is a convenience that no one should go without.

24 feared dead as flash flood hits northeast India

A flash flood triggered by torrential rain has killed at least nine construction workers and left 15 others missing and feared dead in India's remote northeast.

Karma Zyatso, chief secretary of Sikkim state, says the workers, who lived in camps, were swept away by the swirling waters of a flooded river Friday in Chungthan, a small town in the mountainous region.

Zyatso said Sunday that authorities had recovered nine bodies and were searching for the 15 missing workers, who were building roads.

He also said helicopters dropped food supplies to nearly 10,000 people living in six villages cut off due to damage to the main highway in the area, about 550 kilometers (310 miles) west of Gauhati, the capital of Assam state.

A examination of the Fast Hidradenitis suppurativa cure protocol ...

The Fast Hidradenitis suppurativa Cure was written and cultivated by Therese Wilson, a long-time patient of the skin problem. Her experience started when she was 23 years old, vigorous, beautiful, athletic, and living life completely. She even was working towards an university degree, a part-time source of income as an aerobic exercise instructor, and a competitive tennis player. Then she developed what sounded like an uncommonly huge skin defect in her right armpit. Actually it was hurtful, but she just didn?t think too much about the problem.
It started leaking over a period of a few days, regardless of this the following week she had four comparable ?acne breakouts? occur amidst the very same region. These swelled up to the total size of marbles and also were severely uncomfortable. Over the following days, lots more of these developed, and her entire armpit was reddish and enlarged. She was not able to move her arm effectively, and had to take days off from work. At that point, they began to emit pus, and she ultimately went to see her physician.
Regretfully, the doctors were not able to correct her problem.
Her family physician was not sure of why this ?acne? looked so serious, and he referred her to a dermatologist. The dermatologist explained to her that what she was experiencing was not acne, but a malady called Hidradenitis Suppurativa. She clarified that sadly, this was a continuous health issue and the best they could expect for was to keep control of the indicators and aim to lessen the flare-up episodes. The physician also readied her for the truth that during flare-ups, she can certainly be in serious pain continuously for many weeks, with little movement, and she may cultivate a repeated fever and chronic fatigue. She was devastated but there was a lot more.
She outlined that Therese would possibly be suffering from this disease for the rest of her life, and it had become probable that the malady would leave permanent lesions, open wounds and scars. She also explained to her even though it was not likely for her to anticipate that she would be in a position to maintain her job as an aerobics instructor.
She remembers bursting out crying at the clinic, as well as suggesting to herself that she?d be ready to do anything to help make it vanish entirely. To make a long story brief, she finished getting excision surgery a few days later on. Though this left some ugly marks, the swellings and soreness were gone. Regrettably, her relief was actually really brief live and two weeks later she was back at her doctor?s office in excruciating pain. Over the upcoming year she had been administered oral and topical antibiotics, corticosteroids, and also immunosuppressants. Even though each treatment would assist a bit for several days, total her Hidradenitis Suppurativa kept getting worse.
She ceased working as an aerobics teacher as well as halted playing tennis, because physically she couldn?t do it. During the course of flare-ups, she?d remained at home for days or perhaps weeks, and her social life was becoming nonexistent. When summer rolled around, she felt such as she was at just some kind of all-time low. Previously, shewas beach bum; now, there was no way she was actually going to wear a swim-suit!
During her working years at College studying biochemistry as well as diet, she learned that given suitable vitamins as well as 100 % natural chemicals, the body can heal itself of virtually any sort of condition or perhaps ailment. Her training taught her just how particular nutrients and vitamins as well as extracts can lower blood pressure, decrease cholestrerol levels, treat major depression, reverse atherosclerosis, treat eczema, restore color to graying hair, shrink warts, halt and also actually reverse the development of tumors, she could not help but be convinced that someplace in nature, there was clearly a treat for my Hidradenitis Suppurativa. She had to discover cure.
Thus started the long, frustrating path of trial and error, self-experimentation, many very long nights at the health library digging up any relevant studies forms, numerous visits to doctors, professionals, naturopaths, herbalists and also dozens lots of alternative prescription medicine practitioners. up until she at long last pieced together a complete and comprehensive natural strategy that has today been used applied by thousands ofpeople to permanently remedy their Hidradenitis Suppurativa, such as herself.
Soon after incorporating the info she gathered from more than 7 working years of research, her hidradenitis suppurativa was gone. Her dermatologist was astounded, and also affirmed that there was no sign of it (she had been not willing to use the word ?cure? as well as labeled it as ?a complete remission?, but Therese wasn?t too bothered with semantics).
She had been and thus reduced. A straight-forward all-natural strategy had freed her from hidradenitis suppurativa forever. Her plan had worked. She had at long last found a natural hidradenitis suppurativa treatment that worked; her hidradenitis suppurativa had been gone as well as she felt gorgeous when again!
Four years later, her hidradenitis suppurativa has never returned. Therese was curious if precisely what worked for her would further work at others and so she found a group of 17 males and females from online forums with hidradenitis suppurativa (acne inversa) and delivered them her program and every one of the recorded the similar amazing results. All recorded that their hidradenitis suppurativa started getting better in simply a few daysand also plus they were healed of the condition inside 3 to 8 weeks of using her system.
Now you are able to achieve the similar results these men and women.

We've already shown you just how stunning the new design looks in our iPhone 5 gallery but we also want to go in for a much closer look at all the little details. Apple is manufacturing the iPhone 5 using some incredibly advanced equipment and tolerances measured in microns. The backing is anodized 6000 series aluminum with ceramic or pigmented glass inlays. The iSight camera is covered by sapphire crystal and the beveled edges are cut by crystalline diamond. It's been said the iPhone 5 is closer in kind to a luxury time piece than what's traditionally passed for consumer electronics.

How much of that is just marketing and ad copy, and how much is reality undistorted? If the details matter that much to Apple, how well did they execute on those details? Let's take a really close look...
